My search for mudguards for my MTB with disc brakes finally ended with sks velo 29" (also fits 27.5"). I was surprised to see a 'made in germany' tag but one look at the underside of the mudg revealed a bee-hive design for greater strength and tautness (typical german traits). The tricky bit was fitting the umpteen parts like a jigsaw, even with the user manual. There were a few screw-bolts missing which also made me visit a few hardware stores to sources the right screw-bolt-nut combo (german sense of humour huh!), and filled the better part of my saturday....atleast i was not watching tv.
The rear mudg was fitted first with stays. The front was fitted without stays..as there was no supplied clamp!! I know it can be bought...but no mention of the right sizes or compatibility with disc forks (the brake calipers get in the way on left duh)
Overall great package (if u can spend time to fine tune), but not plug n play. Minus points for lack of clamps and nuts.

I was looking for a mudguard to save my back from dirt during raining days. I reached out to customer care and they advised me the product. I was bit skeptical on the fit of the product on my bike as I felt the product is bit wider but it fit my bike perfectly with a bit of cut.
The product is made of good plastic with the needed flexibility to fit the tire. The installation was easy with the help of manual. Once fitted the fit was robust.
The gap between the frame and the tire of my bike was less and hence I had to cut the mudguard a bit to fit in. A word of caution you need to be careful when you make the cuts since you don't want the fender broken into two halves. The fender has slots in the middle and hence be careful. The mudguard is covering most of the part of the tire and hence there is literally zero dirt splashed. Overall it's a very good purchase for my trek 7.1 fx with 700 x 35 c tires.
