Problem with Shimano chains is you don't get a missing link. So when you install the chain with the connecting pin you get with it with a chain breaker tool, the outer plate on the opposite side gets pinched into the inner plate leaving no gap resulting in a stiff link. Now loosening this stiff link is a frustrating process. If you don't free up this stiff link your chain will jump cogs while riding and is dangerous on the road. I twisted the stiff link back and forth following some YouTube tutorials and managed to loosen it enough to not skip cogs. It is still stiffer that the rest of the links but it is at an acceptable level. It's better to get these chains installed by a professional rather than on your own.

Works well with my Tiagra group set. Although, would've preferred master link instead of connecting pin. So, you will need a chain breaker tool. It comes with 116 links.
