Tektro is known for great value brake options and this 4 pot Trail/Enduro brake is just that. They not only have great stopping power but have some great features like a long reach lever that is adjustable. Using a non-corrosive mineral oil means maintenance is that little be easier. You can also combine the lever with Shimano's I-Spec II or Sram's Match Maker levers.

Shimano XT have always been my go to brakes. Unfortunately I was disappointed that these brakes came on a new bike, and so I was going to change them to XT. However, I have had several off road rides with these now and have come to appreciate how well they work.
The brake lever feel is smooth and progressive, and together with the callipers, these brakes perform faultlessly and have great stopping power. They don't have the nice finish of my XT brakes, but in my opinion the Tektro HD-M745 P4's simply perform far better: I am thoroughly impressed.
Save yourself lots of money and buy these.
