Shimano XT CS-M771 10-Speed MTB Cassette

The SHIMANO DEORE has a steel spider and refined tooth profile for HG-X chain and SHIMANO SHADOW rear derailleurs. It delivers precise and consistent shifting performance across a wide range of MTB conditions.

In the Shimano XT CS-M771-10 cassette, the six largest sprockets are mounted on two spiders, so that a large contact surface and low weight can be achieved. The Hyperglide technology (HG) ensures fast, smooth and silent gear changes, which are additionally supported by the Dyna-Sys system. With Dyna-Sys, Shimano is not only addressing the 10th gear, but also ensuring optimum power transmission and traction.

It was only a matter of time before Shimano added a cog to its XT-level cassette. The XT Dyna-Sys CS-M771 Cassette utilizes the same Hyperglide tooth and ramp shapes that were so successful in the 9-speed version, to move your chain smoothly across all 10 gears. The XT Dyna-Sys is fabricated from plated steel, which gives you a high performance cassette that doesn't cost a premium. The spiders between the cogs are alloy and the entire 10 gears are secured with an alloy lockring.

Technology

HG
In combination with Hyperglide (HG) chains, HG sprockets ensure fast and responsive indexed shifting. HG sprockets have specially positioned shift ramps and tooth profiles that improve chain control during shifting. Fast, fluid and silent shifting is the result. Conventional sprockets cause the chain to ride up and over the gear teeth before engaging the sprocket. HG sprockets guide the chain quickly and directly to the next sprocket without override.

Dyna-Sys
Dyna-Sys is not only an extra gear. Dyna-Sys is about closer gear ratios for a smoother shifting performance and improved power transfer. It's about riding optimized gear combinations that improve efficiency and durability. Dyna-Sys technology makes the shifting transitions seamless, enabling riders to deliver consistent, efficient power while maintaining traction and momentum.
