Supacaz

Supacaz

Growing up in California surfing, skating, and snowboarding, Anthony Sinyard (son of Specialized founder, Mike Sinyard) was always confused why cycling gear/clothing was so dull. 80’s surf brands like T&C Surf, Quiksilver, & Santa Cruz really used vibrant colours. As a UCI pro Anthony searched far and near for bike brand that emulated the captivating swagger of his favorite surf/skate brands, after coming up empty handed, the idea spawned to create his own brand. A brand which fused high-performance and vibrant style, he called it SUPACAZ (meaning, Super Casual).
In 2010, Supacaz was founded with the belief that cycling products shouldn’t just be black and white and that the cycling community as a whole should be more laid back. For Supacaz, it didn’t matter if you were a beginner or expert, road biker or mountain biker. Cycling is all about enjoying the ride and cyclists should be “Super Casual”.
The halo product of Supacaz, Super Sticky Kush, completely reinvented the way people think of bar tape. Supacaz was the first to bring neon, two-color, three-color, and high-end aluminum bar plugs to the market. Supacaz is the wrap of choice for many top pros, including Peter Sagan, Alberto Contador and Vincenzo Nibali. Sagan is a rider known for his flamboyancy and Supacaz matches this well as it is available in lots of extrovert neon colours.
